On Feb 20, 2009, Katie Russell and her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, conducted a local event for Reading is Fundamental at ABW.

On March 6, 2009, our students had a wonderful opportunity to see a Bobcats’ game.  This event was sponsored by First Book, an group that provides new books to children.

ABW students receiving backpacks at the Ivory Baker Recreation Center on Sunday the 23rd.  Thomas Davis of the Carolina Panthers, and his wife, provided backpacks filled with school supplies. 

The Eighth Annual Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by Sagehorn & Company held on May 19, 2009 at The Palisades Country Club.  Sponsor dollars from this yearly event will help support the daily operations of the after-school program, including our summer program.
