New Leaf Foundation’s 2nd Annual Soccer Clinic

 

                                                                       Our Mission:  To provide the opportunity for inner-

                                                                city kids from low-income families to learn how to

                                                                play soccer in a Christian environment. 

                                                                From July 8th to 10th, 2009, A Better World

                                                                partnered with the New Leaf Foundation in order to

                                                                offer a soccer clinic to youth involved in our

                                                                summer program.  The clinic was held at

                                                                Thomasboro Elementary School.  instruction was

 

provided by top area high school players and coaches.  There was no cost for any of the kids to attend the clinic.  All expenses were covered by individuals and local businesses who wish to support our cause.  All money raised over the actual expense of the clinic will go to the New Leaf Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides financial, emotional, and spiritual support to families in inner-city Charlotte.  The New Leaf Foundation helps support disadvantaged families with the basic necessities of life such as rent, utilities, and food.
